Self portrait of despair

Portrait of despair

This self-portrait is a reproduction of my horror photo for EBAC (British School of Creative Arts and Technology). It was designed thinking about the human being's ability to become immune to horror, accepting certain situations as we get older. It's almost as if it is forced into us (literally) and without resistance.
It is worth reflecting that our understanding of horror develops as we age psychologically, and impacts our ability to understand the horrors of the “real world”.

By the way, in my opinion, more nuanced horror is more appreciated and scary than spirits or monsters.
Raffinè pencils were used to create shadows and volume.
